Meals for All

Food donation drives in Bangalore, run by students

In a city as fast-growing as Bengaluru, plenty of families still go to bed hungry, often a few streets from restaurants throwing away surplus food. Meals for All is Youth For Change's food security program. It closes that gap one weekend at a time.

Each food drive follows our monthly model. We choose a neighbourhood or partner community, spend the month raising funds and sourcing food, and then pack and deliver meals over a single execution weekend. Volunteers, most of them school and college students, handle everything from packing boxes to loading cars and handing out meals.

We work with partner NGOs who already know the communities they serve, so food reaches the people who need it most. Over time we're building tie-ups with local restaurants to rescue surplus food, and a "Sponsor a Meal" option for people who want to give every month.
