Learn & Rise

Tutoring and school support for children in Bangalore

A child's shot at a good education often comes down to things most of us take for granted: a notebook, a textbook, or someone with an hour to explain a maths problem. Learn & Rise is Youth For Change's education program for underprivileged children in Bengaluru.

Student volunteers run weekend tutoring sessions and learning camps, organise book, stationery and school-kit donation drives, and work with local schools and community centres to reach children who need the extra support. Because our tutors are students too, sessions feel less like a classroom and more like learning from an older sibling.

As the program grows, we plan to identify standout students through our sessions and help connect them with scholarship support so their progress doesn't stop at a single weekend.

If you're a school or college student who wants to teach, see how volunteering works for students or sign up as a tutor.
